Information Collection and Use
Upon signing in, the app stores the user's email, sesion cookies, and Blackbaud "User ID" locally on the device. Nobody is able to obtain this information except you, as it is on your personal device and is stored under Apple Keychain and UserDefaults. When notifications are enabled, the user's session cookies are sent over a secure HTTP transmission. The cookies do not contain a username or password, and rather contain a key unique to the session. The session data must be sent so the server that sends notifications can download the user's schedule, assignments, and grades depending on which options the user has selected. If a toggle is not enabled, the server will not store or download that data. Notifications are unable to function without these permissions. As soon as notifications are disabled, all data from the specific user is cleared instantly. The user also has an option in the app upon signing out to clear any traces of data that is related to him or her. Zero information is collected as means of tracking or advertising purposes. Only the bare minimum information required to allow the previously listed features to work is stored.
I strive to protect the privacy and safety of the users of yourRanney. All information sent to and from the app and the server is encrypted. Please be advised that there is no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage that is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee the absolute security of it.
Blackbaud and "myschoolapp"
